Privacy Policy
How this site handles your data. Short version: I respect your privacy and collect as little as possible.
Last updated: June 2026
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. These tools collect:
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referral source (how you found the site)
- General location (country/region, not precise)
- Device type and browser
Google Analytics uses cookies (_ga,
_ga_*) to distinguish returning visitors. Cloudflare Web
Analytics is cookieless and does not track individual users.
Analytics data is used solely to improve content and understand which topics resonate. I do not sell or share this data with third parties beyond the analytics providers themselves.
Cookies
This site sets the following cookies:
-
_ga/_ga_*— Google Analytics tracking (expires after 2 years / 24 hours) - Cloudflare may set functional cookies for security and performance (bot protection, load balancing)
No advertising cookies are used. No third-party ad networks operate on this site.
Email Subscription
If you subscribe via the footer form, your email address is stored by Buttondown, the newsletter service. Your email is used only to send occasional updates about new posts. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or the unsubscribe page.
Contact Form
Messages sent through the contact form are processed by a Cloudflare Worker and forwarded to my email. Your name, email, and message content are transmitted securely but are not stored in any database. Cloudflare Turnstile is used for spam protection — it does not track users.
